About the Role
To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults.
Responsibilities
- Seeks to reach District standards as established in the designated curricular areas as adopted by the Governing Board as they relate to all pupils for which the teacher is directly responsible.
- Performs co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and/or other designated persons.
- Maintains proper disciplinary control of pupils who are directly assigned and secondarily maintains proper control of all pupils in the Clovis Unified School District. Teachers shall enforce all rules governing the conduct of pupils, as such rules may be prescribed by the Education Code, Title 5, The Governing Board, and the District and school administrators.
- Provides a suitable learning environment for the academic and social development of all students within the guidance established by the Governing Board, Superintendent, and designated administrator, adhering to the concept that the safety and welfare of students is paramount at all times.
Requirements
- Must possess or be eligible for an appropriate California classroom credential.
- If the applicant is not in possession of a current, valid credential, a Plan to Complete form must be attached with the application.
Qualifications

- Current Resume
- Copy of Valid California Public School Credentials
- Copy of CTC Certificate of Clearance (COC)
- Copy of Transcripts (Unofficial accepted for application purposes)
- Copy of MSAT, CSET, SSAT, PRAXIS, or other documentation of Subject Matter Competence
- English Learner Authorization (CLAD, or authorization embedded in credential)
