About the role
The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences is seeking a Cytopathologist to join the clinical practice of UBMD Pathology. Required Cases cover a wide variety of non-GYN in addition to robust gynecological specimens. Rapid on-site evaluations are supported with tele-cytology.
Responsibilities
- General and cytopathology sign out
- Frozen section performance
- Select areas of Laboratory Medicine
- Attend and actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
- Residency teaching and oversight
- Medical and Dental undergraduate teaching
Requirements
Candidates will be required to perform all the duties of an attending pathologist.
Qualifications
PhD in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral experience in cytopathology.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in laboratory techniques, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
