Academic Radiation Oncologist

About the role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join their dynamic team. This position is open to all Academic Ranks and welcomes caregivers from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide state-of-the-art clinical treatment to cancer patients in Worcester County.
• Deliver more than 34,000 external tele-therapy treatments annually across 8 clinical facilities.
• Utilize advanced image-guided platforms and three-dimensional treatment simulators for precise treatment planning and execution.
• Offer extensive brachytherapy services, including genitourinary and gynecological applications.
• Support radiation services at five hospital locations, including seven Varian linacs equipped with ARIA/Eclipse systems and HDR units.
• Collaborate with UMass Chan Medical School faculty and other specialists to enhance patient care and medical education.

Requirements

• MD, DO, or DO/PhD, MD/PhD, board-eligible or board-certified in radiation oncology.
• Completed residency in an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program and/or fellowship in an accredited US training program.
• A strong track record of excellence in clinical care.

Pay

Hiring Range: $375,000 - $450,000. Final offers may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
