About the Role
Plans and implements program initiatives for an assigned college, academic department, or academic unit. Participates in generating program resources, communication, and the design and development of operating goals, objectives, and protocols. Serves as the primary point of contact for program implementation and operational matters, providing technical, professional, and programmatic guidance and support.
Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, and coordinates the implementation and execution of programs, special projects, events, and other initiatives to achieve the mission, goals, and objectives of the assigned program(s) and/or department(s).
- Oversees and administers all facets and activities related to day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) and/or department(s).
- Serves as a liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program and/or department activities.
- Provides, administers, and/or coordinates technical guidance, consultation, and related support to clientele within the area of program focus.
- Assists with forecast projections and budgeting for each fiscal year, evaluates progress toward financial goals, and may manage the program or department's purchasing card (PCard).
- Prepares and delivers presentations and collateral for program and/or department events.
- Coordinates and administers the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; prepares comprehensive program reports and evaluation summaries.
- May coordinate, administer, and monitor social media presence and program outreach.
- May supervise and/or lead assigned staff and/or student assistants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
- One (1) year of work experience related to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
- Previous experience with program development and coordination.
- Previous experience in higher education.

- Ability to make administrative and/or procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to devise, develop, collect, and analyze statistical information and reports.
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and operational expertise within the designated area of program focus.
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills.
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Strong customer service skills and phone/email etiquette.
Pay
The budgeted salary range is $45,900–$51,480 per year, with offers based on relevant experience.
