About the role
The Academic Program Coordinator for the Office of Individual Study coordinates the administration and delivery of OSU Individual Study courses and micro-credential programs. This position serves as a key liaison among students, faculty, academic departments, campus partners, and external vendors to support high-quality online and continuing education opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Coincides with course and micro-credential development
- Maintains Canvas course offerings
- Supports faculty with course delivery
- Ensures compliance with university policies and accreditation standards
- Manages student enrollment, participant records, payment processing, credential issuance, academic reporting, grading processes, and proctoring operations for both credit and non-credit programs
- Collaborates on program outreach, website content, and marketing initiatives to support enrollment growth and visibility of OSU’s educational offerings
- Supports strategic program operations, student success initiatives, and the continued expansion of OSU’s industry-aligned micro-credential and lifelong learning programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Student Development, Higher Education, Marketing, or a related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- One year of related work experience in program coordination, student services, and/or academic program planning
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
- Service-oriented with a genuine commitment to supporting students, faculty, and staff
- Proficiency with standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
- Able to quickly learn student information systems
- Familiarity with learning management systems (Canvas) and student information systems (e.g., Banner, Slate) preferred
Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, Business, Student Development, or related field, 3-4 years experience in student development field, database management, understanding of OSU's student system Canvas
Pay
$40,000 - $57,000
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
