About the role
The Maritime Business Administration Department (MARA) at Texas A&M University, located on the Galveston Campus, seeks applications for up to 5 full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) and/or Temporary/Part-Time (Non-Tenure) positions at various ranks including Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor, Visiting Instructional Associate Professor, Visiting Instructional Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor of the Practice, Visiting Associate Professor of the Practice, Visiting Professor of the Practice, Visiting Lecturer, Visiting Senior Lecturer, and Visiting Principal Lecturer. Appointments are for a 4.5-month or 9-month academic year, with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, starting in fall 2026 or spring 2027.
Responsibilities
- Organize, deliver, evaluate, and assess accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, law, economics, business analytics, strategic management, cybersecurity, logistics and/or supply chain management courses and student outcomes associated with those courses.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Participate in all aspects of the department's activities.
- Serve the profession.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, law, economics, business analytics, strategic management, cybersecurity, logistics, supply chain management, international trade, inland waterways management, brokerage & chartering, marine risk & insurance, project management, organizational behavior, transportation economics, and/or port and terminal management or a closely related discipline in the field in which the faculty member will teach.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, law, economics, business analytics, strategic management, cybersecurity, logistics, supply chain management, international trade, inland waterways management, brokerage & chartering, marine risk & insurance, project management, organizational behavior, transportation economics, and/or port and terminal management or a closely related discipline in the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college level.
- An extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.

- Significant teaching experience at the college level in the field or a related field.
