Academic Hepatology Physician

About the role

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time hepatologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to join a growing academic program.

Duties

• Outpatient hepatology clinic
• General endoscopy
• Attending on the inpatient gastroenterology/hepatology consult service (approximately 1:8)
• Creating a separate hepatology inpatient consult service with potential growth
• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent
• Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program, gastroenterology fellowship, and transplant hepatology fellowship
• Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology
