About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Quillen College of Medicine, and Medical Education Assistance Corporation (MEAC) are seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist.
Responsibilities
- Work in a beautiful, new Pediatric Clinic with a warm, child and family-friendly environment
- Join a sizable collegial group of pediatricians and pediatric specialty medicine physicians in clinical care
- Work in an emerging tertiary referral center in the region
- Practice in an established Pediatric Subspecialty Clinic representing many specialties including gastroenterology
- Manage a pediatric GI division with 3 physicians, a mid-level provider, a dietitian, and 3 nurses
- Staff a 24-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit with 8 Pediatric Hospitalists
- Work in a Level III 39-bed NICU
Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Experience in pediatric gastroenterology is preferred but not required
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Eligible for or currently hold an MD or DO license in the state of Tennessee
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Pediatrics
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric gastroenterology
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage a busy clinical workload
