The Role

We are seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) with experience teaching residents in an outpatient setting and a passion for leadership in academic primary care. This position blends continuity care, resident education, and program leadership within a thoughtfully structured weekday schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive outpatient primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population.
  • Teach, supervise, and mentor Internal Medicine residents and medical students in the ambulatory setting.
  • Shape resident education through curriculum development, bedside teaching, and longitudinal mentorship.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and academic projects.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within the clinic and residency program, aligned with your interests and experience.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to continuously improve patient care and learner experience.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible).
  • MD or DO.
  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and excited to contribute beyond traditional clinical duties.
  • Passionate about academic medicine, team-based care, and caring for underserved populations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical operations, education, quality improvement, or administration.
