About the role

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska is recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians to be an integral part of our faculty. The incoming faculty member will join a collegial team of Emergency Medicine physicians that are dedicated to providing extraordinary patient care to all.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical services at both Nebraska Medicine and Nebraska Medicine-Bellevue Medical Center.
• Participate in the education of a 21st century health care workforce.
• Contribute to research and finding cures and treatments for devastating diseases.
• Provide the best care for patients and serve the state and its communities.
• Offer 24/7 Emergency Medicine resident coverage at Nebraska Medicine.
• Assist with the management of a busy, high acuity ED at Nebraska Medicine serving nearly 65,000 patients annually.
• Support the operations of the community emergency department at Bellevue Medical Center, which serves over 35,000 visits annually.

Requirements

• Must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Possess excellent clinical, professional, and communication skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in academic emergency medicine and/or has completed fellowship or advanced training.
