About the Role
The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor. This position involves clinical service in the Cytopathology Division, which handles an annual volume of 35,000 cases, including a highly active fine needle aspiration/core biopsy interventional service. The Surgical Pathology Division offers subspecialty sign-out, and both divisions collaborate closely with other departments, such as Hematopathology and Diagnostic Molecular Pathology.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical service in the Cytopathology Division.
- Engage in research activities.
- Teach and train medical students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
- Hold an MD or MD/PhD.
- Board certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
- Board certified or eligible in Cytopathology from the American Board of Pathology.
- Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois.
- Fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology or a subspecialty area of surgical pathology is desirable.
Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000. The final pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, training, departmental budget, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
