Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Nursing emerges from the challenge to meet the manpower needs for quality health care locally, nationally, and globally. Primary Purpose of Position
- Provide consistent advisement for all pre-nursing and nursing students and veterans.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Support Services and Senior Advisor in planning, coordinating, and evaluating Student Support Services.
- Aid in recruitment, pre-admission tracking and advising, admissions, orientation, registration, financial aid, graduation, and management of student information systems.
- Assist with the formation and maintenance of policies related to student admissions and advisement.

- Knowledgeable of advising practices and principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Excellent analytical skills that include analyzing data with standard statistical methods, interpreting the results, and providing written summaries of data analyses.
- Reasoned judgment.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
Minimum Education/Experience
- A Master’s degree is required.
- A minimum of two years of work experience is preferred.
