About the role
The search will remain open until the position has been filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by July 15, 2026. Applications received after July 15, 2026 may be reviewed depending on search progress and needs but are not guaranteed full consideration.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic counsel and advice to undergraduate students, prospective students, and graduate students (if applicable), ensuring they progress toward graduation in a timely manner.
- Initiate proactive outreach to students, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in academic reviews as they pertain to the Scholastic Standing process.
- Evaluate transfer student transcripts.
- Assist and advise students who wish to change majors.
- Certify undergraduate students for graduation, ensuring they meet all requirements and progress toward graduation in a timely manner.
- Cook up relevant college events involving undergraduate and/or prospective students.
- Work closely with Center for Career and Experiential Education to provide up-to-date information to students related to career and major choices.
- Research, compile, and maintain statistical data and reports related to student progress.
- Participate in on-going training in all aspects of academic advising, including the use of technology and data management systems that support effective advising.
- Attend conferences and workshops.
- Maintain relevant statistical data as required.
- Perform Additional Duties As Required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in academic advising in higher education (may include time as graduate student), OR, a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years full-time experience advising students in higher education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in academic advising in higher education (may include time as graduate student).
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years full-time experience advising students in higher education.
Skills
- Personal computers, printers; word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software.
Benefits

Pay
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Schedule
This position is IN-PERSON WITH REMOTE WORK AGREEMENT FOR 2 REMOTE DAYS/WK.
