Position Responsibilities
- Support the department’s Undergraduate and Graduate Directors with academic program management, including data tracking, reporting, course planning, and institutional record keeping.
- Maintain admissions and enrollment tracking systems, including support for FAEIS survey preparation and entrance and exit survey data for enrolled students.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for admissions and applicant inquiries, represent the department at recruiting events, and co-lead the department’s ambassador program.
- Monitor the full admissions lifecycle for undergraduate and graduate applicants, including responding to prospective student inquiries, tracking application materials, communicating with applicants, and supporting students through initial enrollment.
- Distribute print and digital communication content to prospective and current students and maintain related communication systems, including student listservs.
- Provide academic advising support for the First-Year Experience and Senior Seminar courses.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as agricultural education, agricultural communications, agricultural science, extension, education, or a related area; or an equivalent combination of advanced training and relevant work experience;
- Program support experience in an academic or professional office environment;
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and related productivity tools;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, teams, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education and admissions;
- Proficiency with SLATE Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or a comparable system;
- Working knowledge of university academic, fiscal, and operational policies and procedures;
- Experience managing student records or databases, such as Banner and/or Navigate;
- Experience supporting online academic programs.
