Duties And Responsibilities
- Makes adequate and appropriate preparation for all teaching responsibilities.
- Utilizes a variety of instructional methods and available instructional technology to facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes for each course assigned.
- Serves as faculty advisor for students assigned to him/her as part of the overall academic/career-tech advisement program and attends trainings to stay current with the latest advising updates/information.
- Attends all scheduled faculty meetings and division/departmental meetings.
- Participates in the district-wide curriculum development process and selection of textbooks and supporting instructional material.
- Keeps accurate records of student progress and student attendance in class and is prompt and accurate in submitting student information as required.
- Assists in maintaining established standards of student conduct and classroom decorum; takes appropriate action when necessary, in accordance with established policy.
- Participates in professional organizations and other activities that enhance and contribute to professional growth.
- Serves on committees as assigned.
- Follows the established policies and procedures of the college so as to enhance the instructional program, facilitate administration, and promote student well-being.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in the subject to be taught or a Master's degree and 18 graduate course hours in the subject to be taught.
- Preferrred Job Requirements: Previous teaching experience, Experience with electronic resources and instructional technology.

- The work environment is an office/classroom setting with moderate noise.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
