Adjunct Instructor - Sociology

Primary Responsibilities

Create courses to meet learning outcomes and promote student active participation.

Foster a learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and problem-solving.

Use various formative and summative assessments to ensure student learning and achievement of course outcomes.

Support students in achieving academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.

Contribute to and lead academic and professional communities, and collaborate with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sociology OR Master's degree in Applied Sociology
• Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with diverse groups of staff and students
• Commitment to the open access mission of the community college

Pay

$800.00 - $943.00 per contact hour
