About the role
The Flight Operations Assistant will assist the Flight Department with administrative duties related to the nightly DHL operations at CVG.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and clarify company policies to crewmembers
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Identify and resolve operational problems relating to flight crews
- Notify crewmembers of random drug tests
- Administer system travel, update and distribute revisions to FAA, Jeppesen, and ABX manuals
- Aid in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
- Transport flight bags from ILN to CVG bi-weekly and distribute flight bags to appropriate aircraft at CVG
Requirements
- Must have HSD/GED
- Flight operations experience
- Pilot training or enrolled in a pilot training program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Very good written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a group environment
- Self-starter
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced atmosphere and changing priorities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Skills
- Candidate who is currently enrolled in a college degree program or has completed coursework geared towards aviation operations
- Pilots license
