Description Summary
The Academic Behavior Resource classroom teacher will monitor students serving In-School Suspensions. They will assist with accessing Google Classrooms, reteaching lessons, and documenting time spent. The teacher will provide behavioral interventions and coordinate with various school staff.
- Help students access Google Classrooms of general and special education teachers to complete work.
- Reteach lessons or provide additional resources to students.
- Communicate with General Education teachers about student progress.
- Report attendance and academic and behavioral services in Powerschool.
- Collaborate with Teachers of Record and Case Managers for special education students.
- Work with the Behavior Specialist and Suspension Expulsion Interventionists to ensure intervention fidelity.
- Support students serving multiple days of suspension.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree; Indiana Teacher’s License-Exceptional Needs Mild Interventions or Intense Interventions.
- Currently enrolled in a teaching program focusing in Special Education.
Physical Requirements
Candidate should be physically capable of successfully performing the essential functions of the position.
