Shift

• 40 hours per week
• M-F: 10:30am – 6:30pm (9:00am - 5:00pm in summer)
• Six non-school days during the year

Pay

• $45,000 or $47,000 with RBT certification
• Full-time benefits

About the Role

Arc Broward is looking for a Behavior Specialist to support the team in the implementation of behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Behavioral Team Leader in conducting assessments and developing behavior plans
• Trains and coaches direct support professionals to implement the behavior plans and document data
• Leads the classrooms teams in procedures to prevent and de-escalate crisis behaviors and implement positive classroom management strategies
• Makes procedural modifications based on student progress through analysis of data
• Engages students in activities and lessons using positive prompting and reinforcement
• Models and reinforces effective classroom management, prevention, de-escalation, crisis management, and transition strategies

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Psychology or related field with 2+ years of experience implementing ABA plans and crisis intervention
• High School diploma with 4+ years of experience
• RBT Certification required within 1 year of employment
• Valid FL driver’s license

Qualifications

• Experience with ABA plans and crisis intervention
• Ability to model and reinforce positive behavioral strategies
• Knowledge of classroom management and crisis intervention techniques
