About the role
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services, plans and provides a behavior management program for pupils and delivers related services to teachers, administrators, other special education staff, parents, and the community. Actively participates in the development and implementation of policies related to the management of students’ problematic behaviors.
Cordova Villa Elementary School is a Title I school in Rancho Cordova serving approximately 500 students from preschool to fifth grade. The school community represents many cultures and languages, embraces PBIS and restorative practices, and uses the PLC model to guide instruction and family engagement.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a behavior management program for students
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and special education staff
- Collaborate with parents and the community as appropriate
- Develop and implement policies for managing student behaviors
Requirements
- Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) or documented evidence of equivalent education, professional training, and experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods, work with minimal supervision, think logically, and attend to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences
- Physical abilities: reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing ordinary conversations, near vision/visual accommodation
Qualifications
Upon conditional offer of employment:
- DOJ and FBI criminal background check
- TB test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667)
- Completion of district-mandated training (e.g., Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment)
Schedule
- 9.5-month work year
- 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Clock hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (30-minute unpaid lunch), subject to change
Pay
Salary range: $49.47 to $60.13 per hour
