ABL Regulatory Analyst

Job Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Analyzing, interpreting data, and conducting research to determine compliance with ABL laws to approve or deny ABL licenses/permits
  • Receiving all in-state permanent ABL application packets
  • Performing initial review and analysis and setting up applications in the SCDOR processing system
  • Collecting all fees and preparing financials for deposit processing
  • Transmitting application information to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for field investigations
  • Communicating with employees and customers to assist and educate
  • Consulting with SCDOR personnel, county officials, and state officials to resolve basic ABL issues
  • Researching, interpreting, and citing ABL laws, regulations, and internal guidelines to gain knowledge and a basic understanding of ABL compliance requirements

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree OR a high school diploma and relevant program experience
  • Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or government-related field

Training: ABL Regulatory Analysts will participate in an onboarding program to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to successfully perform their job.

Hours: Work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after one year of employment with SCDOR.
