Associate / Vice President, Asset-Based Finance Investments A leading alternative investment manager is seeking an Associate or Vice President to join its Asset-Based Finance (ABF) investment team in New York. The successful candidate will help evaluate, underwrite, and manage investments across a broad range of private and structured credit opportunities, with a focus on asset-backed and cash flow-oriented investments. Responsibilities Analyze and execute investment opportunities across consumer, commercial, and residential credit sectors.Perform detailed collateral, cash flow, and structural analysis on both private and public asset-backed transactions.Build and maintain financial models to evaluate risk-adjusted returns, downside scenarios, and portfolio performance.Conduct diligence on originators, issuers, borrowers, and servicing platforms.Monitor existing portfolio investments and identify relative value opportunities across the ABF universe.Work closely with senior investment professionals on transaction execution, portfolio construction, and investment strategy.Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to internal investment committees. Qualifications 3-8+ years of experience in private ABF, structured products, specialty finance, structured credit, securitization, or related investing/lending roles.Strong understanding of consumer, commercial, and/or residential credit assets, including areas such as mortgage, unsecured consumer, auto, equipment finance, small business lending, receivables, or other specialty finance sectors.Experience underwriting asset-backed transactions, warehouse facilities, forward flow agreements, securitizations, or other structured credit investments.Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.Ability to evaluate collateral performance, cash flow dynamics, and transaction structures.Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or CFA designation is a plus.
