Responsibilities
- Participate in required training sessions including company onboarding, ABA principles, ethics, HIPAA, and cultural competency.
- Demonstrate progress toward mastery of foundational ABA skills (data collection, reinforcement, prompting, behavior intervention strategies).
- Assist in daily cleaning protocols when working at the center.
- Assist children in typical tasks analysis, including but not limited to daily routines such as dressing, toileting, washing up, brushing teeth, eating, cleaning up, etc.
- Successfully complete role-play, competency checks, and mock session evaluations under supervision.
- Shadow experienced Behavior Technicians and BCBAs during client sessions to observe application of treatment protocols.
- Aid in preparation of session materials (e.g., data sheets, reinforcers, activity set-up) under staff guidance.
- Practice delivering ABA procedures under direct supervision to build competence.
- Accept and implement feedback from supervisors and trainers, both during live supervision and written evaluations with openness and responsiveness.
- Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of client information at all times.
- Accurately record training practice data and session notes as assigned.
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for training, supervision, and shadowing sessions.
- Show consistent improvement in clinical skill performance as measured by supervisor evaluations and demonstrate increasing independence in performing assigned training tasks.
- Demonstrate professional interactions with supervisors, colleagues, and families.
- Communicate training needs, scheduling concerns, or barriers to learning in a timely manner.
- Assist in other ABA tasks as assigned by Program Manager or BCBA.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or related field preferred. Experience with ABA principles, data collection, reinforcement, prompting, and behavior intervention strategies is necessary. Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a valid driver's license if required for transportation to client locations.
