AAA Roadside Assistance Drivers

About the role

Our Philadelphia Fleet is seeking dependable and empathetic individuals to assist with roadside assistance, mobile battery services, and towing. Positions include Roadside Assistance Technician, Mobile Battery Technician, and Tow Truck Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services.
• Perform tow and recovery services.
• Sell and install car batteries (for Mobile Battery Technician).
• Communicate effectively with members to ensure their safety.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are adequately secured.
• Support AAA through special events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state where you reside.
• Ability to pass a physical examination and pre- and post-employment screening.
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Operate passenger vehicles and light-medium duty trucks.
• Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, via email, and using assigned technology.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an automotive/mechanical environment, or technical school, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales and/or customer service role (preferred).
• Successfully complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire.

Skills

• Ability to operate passenger vehicles and light-medium duty trucks.
• Effective communication skills.
• Passenger vehicle operation and light-medium duty truck operation.
• Use of GPS systems.

Pay

Hourly rate of $22.05 to $24.70 based on experience and position, with a 10% shift differential for second shift work.

Schedule

Shifts may vary, including weekends, and overtime opportunities are available during peak seasons.
