About the role
The A&T Technician II position is within the Commercial Aircraft Group at Moog. This role reports to the Operations Process Manager and operates on a 3rd shift schedule in East Aurora, New York.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly activities using various mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging, and torque mechanisms to meet build requirements.
- Test operations include setting up and performing operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment, fixtures, and tools to achieve desired performance results.
- Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instructions and configuration changes.
- Support overall operations by performing daily administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED is preferred, or demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 3 years of related experience in a technical field.
Qualifications
- Enrollment and participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is required due to the nature of the position.
Skills
- Understanding of FAA regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using mechanical and electronic measurement equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
