Responsibilities

• Works alongside and assists Senior Technicians in processing electronic and electromechanical assemblies for Aerospace, Navy, and Space applications.
• Assists in the assembly and test of production hardware and their subassemblies, in accordance with schematics and other written and/or verbal specifications.
• Assists with soldering, crimping, electronic assembly, labeling and capping, hardware before presentation to Final Inspection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to test repetitive products.
• Ability to understand and work with blueprint drawings.
• Detail-oriented, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow procedures.
• Effective verbal/written communication skills required for interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization.
• Computer literate, with MS Office experience and basic PC skills.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/testing environment (less experience considered with a recent A.A.S. degree).

Pay

Pay Range: $27 - $34 per hour

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 8 hours, Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work are required, as job duties demand. Some travel may be required for this position (5-10%).

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration.
• This position entails constant exposure to abrasive chemicals.
• This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
• This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
• Temperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.
