a PHP/IOP Medical Director and Outpatient Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to a Partial Hospitalization Program and a Psychiatric outpatient clinic
• Work on-site 5 days per week with PHP/IOP and clinic patients
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach
• Administer and manage psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide care recommendations
• Educate and support patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training

Qualifications

• DEA registration required
• Board certification or Board eligible in Psychiatry
• Current Illinois medical license required or pending
