This position is on our 2nd shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 3:30 pm–1:30 am. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for up to 6 months. Up to 25% travel is required.

Pratt & Whitney in Burlington, VT is an FAA-regulated facility. This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40.

Responsibilities

  • Service, operate, maintain, repair, and remove equipment
  • Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to meet customer specifications
  • Manage technical products, services logistics, provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations for assigned customers
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives
  • Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications
  • Serve as local on-site RTX representative to the customer’s organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of experience working as an A&P Technician
  • Active A&P License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience (rigging, R&I, MRP’s, aircraft interface)
  • Shop/Bench refurbishment experience
  • Experience inspecting engine parts refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs, and return to service of engines, modules, and components
  • Airframe experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC)-powered aircraft
  • Previous customer service experience

Pay

The salary range for this role is $43,400 – $82,600 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
