A MO Facility Is Seeking a Locums Orthopedic Surgeon
About the role
Long-term ongoing coverage providing pediatric ED and inpatient care in an inpatient practice setting with admissions required, rounding both inpatient and outpatient, arthroscopy required, hand procedures and tendon release/repair preferred, total joint replacement and spine procedures not required. Includes 24‑hour call shifts (maximum 2 per month, 10 per year) and assignment details managed via an online portal. The position is supported by a Weatherby Healthcare consultant and the company is a charter member of NALTO.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for pediatric ED and inpatient patients
- Perform inpatient admissions
- Conduct rounding for both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Perform arthroscopy procedures
- Carry out hand procedures and tendon release/repair
- Maintain accurate documentation and time entry in the online portal
Requirements
- Arthroscopy experience required
- Hand procedures and tendon release/repair experience preferred
- Experience in pediatric ED and inpatient care
- Ability to manage admissions and provide inpatient rounding
- Comfort with both inpatient and outpatient rounding

Pay
Competitive compensation ranging from $200.00 to $240.00 per hour (all‑inclusive, combining base pay with potential overtime, call, and holiday pay). Rates are estimates and may vary based on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors.
Schedule
24‑hour call shifts, with a maximum of 2 shifts per month and up to 10 shifts per year.
