About the role

The Technician's primary goal is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. This position diagnoses and repairs client and dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics, maintains positive client relationships, and adheres to dealership policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate vehicles as needed.
  • Examine vehicles, diagnose issues, and discuss findings with the Team Leader or Assistant Service Manager (ASM).
  • Communicate additional service requests to the ASM for client notification.
  • Plan work procedures in cooperation with the Team Leader.
  • Provide labor time estimates to the ASM.
  • Monitor repair time and update the ASM on status for client vehicles, including those left for service and waiting clients.
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation.
  • Complete documentation for client repairs.
  • Know and understand the dealership computer system.
  • Assist Technician Trainees.
  • Wear approved safety glasses in designated safety areas.
  • Adhere to dress code in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy.
  • Attend company and factory training.
  • Stay current with factory technical bulletins.
  • Obtain a State Inspector license if not already completed.
  • Keep current with manufacturer warranty requirements.
  • Understand and follow Federal, State, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.
  • Know and utilize the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Adhere to the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policy.
  • Attend weekly department meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) policy requirements.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for three or more hours at a time.
