About the role
The Army National Guard is seeking highly-mobile missile launchers to enhance their combat readiness. As a Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing missile electronic assemblies and tracking systems.
Responsibilities
- Determine shortcomings and malfunctions in electronic, electrical, mechanical, and circuit elements
- Repair unserviceable optical and infrared components
- Inspect, test, and adjust components to specific tolerances
- Perform quality control measures
- Test instruments and navigational controls
- Read technical diagrams and manuals to locate and repair instrument parts
- Replace equipment parts
- Work on the TOW antimissile system, DRAGON antitank guided missile systems, and Bradley Fighting Vehicle systems
- Train and supervise other Soldiers
- Provide technical assistance
- Install equipment modifications
- Develop skills for civilian careers in manufacturing, medical research, satellite communications, or commercial airline industry
- Gain ETA certification through extensive training
Qualifications
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
