#948- Vehicle Maintenance Position: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm (8 hrs. per/day) 12 month position

About the role

The Tomah Area School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a vehicle repair position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of district vehicles and equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance and maintaining vehicle records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and repair of district vehicles and equipment
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Assist in maintaining vehicle maintenance records by recording service and repairs
• Drive bus or van routes as needed

Requirements

• Possess interpersonal skills to deal courteously, cooperatively and effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• High school diploma required, vocational school certification in vehicle repair a plus
• Five years experience in the vehicle repair field preferred
• Familiarity with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and perform repairs accurately
• Valid Wisconsin Driver License and ability to acquire a Wisconsin School Bus Commercial Driver's license (C.D.L. with S&P endorsements)
• Provide own general tools

Qualifications

Candidates with experience in vehicle repair and a strong understanding of diagnostic equipment are preferred. The district offers CDL training at no cost to employees.

Schedule

The work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (8 hours per day), with this being a 12-month position.
