About the role
The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems of various weapons used by the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic systems of small arms and artillery
- Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
- Learn and develop skills for potential civilian careers in electronics, avionics, or missile facilities
Requirements
- Enlist in the Army National Guard
- Be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED
- Be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Meet citizenship requirements (details available at NATIONALGUARD.com)
Qualifications
- Preference for work requiring accuracy and attention to detail
- Interest in working with weapons
Skills
- Electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
- Understanding schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams

Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
Pay
Enlisted members earn a regular paycheck during training.
