About the role

The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems of various weapons used by the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electronic systems of small arms and artillery
  • Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
  • Learn and apply electronic and mechanical principles and concepts

Requirements

  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

Qualifications

  • Junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED
  • Interest in working with weapons and electronics

Skills

  • Understanding of schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

Schedule

Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
