The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems of various weapons used by the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Operate electronic and mechanical test equipment
- Understand and apply electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
- Develop skills for potential civilian careers as electronic mechanics, avionics technicians, or missile facilities repairers
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Age between 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Interest in working with weapons
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Skills
- Understanding schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams

Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
Pay
Pay varies based on drill weekend earnings, which can range from $200 to $250 per weekend, subject to change.
