About the role
The Small Arms/Artillery Repairer maintains electronic systems in various types of weapons, including handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, and ballistic missiles, ensuring they function effectively for the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair electronic systems in small arms and artillery weapons
- Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
- Develop skills for potential civilian careers as electronic mechanics, avionics technicians, or missile facilities repairers
Requirements
- Enlist in the Army National Guard
- Be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED
- Be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

Qualifications
Preference for work requiring accuracy and attention to detail, interest in working with weapons.

Schedule
Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, which includes both classroom and field work.
Pay
Non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
