911 Dispatcher

DeKalb County Government is seeking 9-1-1 Dispatchers for a challenging, exciting, and rewarding position that relates to all areas of Public Safety response. You can be the first responder to every scene, operating in a high-stress, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls for police, fire, and EMS assistance.
• Determine location, prioritize, and dispatch the appropriate response.
• Provide medical and life-saving instruction over the phone during severe and life-threatening incidents.
• Operate telephonic, radio, and computer systems while entering information and maintaining records.
• Access information from the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) system to assist officers in the performance of their duties.

Pay
