About the role

This position involves the financial responsibilities of assigned department and/or service lines including budget, productivity, contract, and various ad hoc analysis. The individual will work closely with relevant leaders, team members, and the accounting and budgeting department to ensure accurate budgeting and monitoring of financial results to maximize and identify opportunities for margin enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Provides financial analysis of historical and forward-thinking data
  • Extracts raw data and formulates it into actionable financial analysis in a summarized executive format using complex Excel spreadsheets and data base reporting tools
  • Supports operating budget process, collaborating with budget team and service line directors and managers
  • Supports and coordinates capital budget process for leaders
  • Conducts ongoing actual to budget variance analysis and forecasting
  • Communicates directly with departmental and financial leadership regarding variances and opportunities
  • Identifies department and/or service line performance improvement opportunities and communicates to finance and service line leadership
  • Collaborates with finance & reimbursement team on larger scale financial projections related to the service lines

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance field. Preferred qualifications include a CPA Certification, Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, and five (5) years of financial experience including at least 3 years in healthcare financial positions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance field
  • Possession of a CPA Certification is preferred
  • Five (5) years of financial experience including at least 3 years in healthcare financial positions
  • Experience leading or supervising a project or department for two years
