About the role
The City of Bothell is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial strategy and policy development, conduct detailed budget analysis, provide consultation, and assist in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Compile, review, and analyze City financial data and operational reports.
- Monitor updates, evaluate information, recommend actions, and prepare forecasts and reports.
- Conduct detailed operating and capital budget analysis, including review of expenditures and revenue trends, and reconciliation of data from multiple sources.
- Audit operational changes and trends, estimate fiscal impacts, and develop supporting analysis and narrative for program plans and funding requests.
- Provide consultation to City staff on financial, budgeting, accounting, and technical matters.
- Aid in preparing financial analyses and reports, including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and help interpret and communicate City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- Experience working in Finance within the public sector.
- Experience working with public finance and accounting tasks.
- Master’s degree (MPA, MBA, or equivalent).
- Currently hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) certification.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with standard business hours.
