About the Role

This position requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph. As a Software Engineer, you will build strong systems, software, and cloud environments while providing operations and maintenance for critical systems. The role involves technical expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and testing customer tools and applications within a DevOps framework. You will participate in and/or direct major project deliverables through all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and/or direct software programming initiatives using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.
• Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon, leveraging automated deployment technologies.
• Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions, utilizing infrastructure platform services.
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases.
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Analyze (through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs.
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures to create innovative solutions that meet customer technical needs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java, Spring, and the software development lifecycle within DevOps toolsets/practices.
• Direct experience with software testing performance tools (e.g., Junit, Katalon) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) in an Agile environment.
• Extensive experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud data services (e.g., S3, RDS, EFS).
• Extensive experience using version control systems and issue/problem tracking systems.
• HS diploma and at least 20 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree and at least 13 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive use and experience in common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and development practices.
• Understanding of the customer's system development policies (optional).
• Experience with structured analysis and design methodologies (optional).
