8 Hr Shifts (All) Sackets Harbor – Personal Care Aide Jobs (PCA)

About the role

CareGivers is seeking a certified PCA, HHA, or CNA to provide home care for a client in Sackets Harbor, NY (branch: Watertown, NY). The role requires the use of a Hoyer lift, a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license, and includes running errands/shopping for clients (mileage paid). You must be dependable, caring, and meet health requirements; applicants must be 18 or older. The position offers flexible scheduling – you can choose your days and shifts (8‑hour day, evening, or overnight shifts, available 7 days a week) and we will tailor a schedule to your availability. CareGivers is a licensed home care agency with 12 branches in Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania, providing quality, compassionate home care for over 50 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to help clients feel clean and refreshed
• Learn new recipes and prepare meals
• Tidy the client’s home to maintain a healthy environment
• Ensure clients follow their medication schedule
• Perform other care tasks as needed to keep clients safe
• Run errands and shop for clients (mileage paid)
• Use a Hoyer lift as required

Requirements

• Current certification as PCA, HHA, or CNA (expired HHA accepted)
• Willingness to transition from CNA to HHA via a free one‑day class (if applicable)
• Nursing students may qualify to work as an HHA – inquire for details
• Caring, dependable, and able to meet health requirements
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

Pay

Hourly Rate: $18.65 per hour

Schedule

Available shifts: 8‑hour shifts – days, evenings, overnights, offered 7 days per week. Choose your days and shifts; we offer flexible scheduling (work one shift a week, two shifts a week, or more) and will tailor a schedule to fit your availability.
