790 -Day Porter / Assistant Day Lead

About the role

Description Day porters play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of a facility throughout the day. Unlike evening or night janitorial staff, Day Porters are responsible for maintaining the building’s cleanliness during business hours, handling quick cleaning tasks, and responding to immediate needs as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for facility users for cleaning and maintenance needs.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas.
• Dust and wipe desks, tables, windowsills, etc.
• Clean restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors) and restock supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• English/ Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Physically capable of handling tasks that involve standing, lifting, bending, and repeated movements in a typical work shift.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Mon-Fri 9:00AM - 5:30PM Main responsibilities will include laundry and ironing linens, assisting with setups, cleaning and supervising on days when either morning or evening supervisors are off.
