ProRecruiters is seeking an Engineering Liaison to join a growing and dynamic team in Tulsa, OK. This role serves as the primary point of contact among Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and other departments to ensure technical requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.

About the role

The Engineering Liaison supports the release, interpretation, and communication of engineering information throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include resolving drawing, specification, tooling, process, and documentation questions; coordinating engineering changes; and supporting production teams in meeting customer, quality, delivery, and configuration-control requirements within a precision machining and fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Operations.
  • Communicate approved engineering requirements, revisions, and process changes to affected teams.
  • Support production personnel with technical questions and engineering-related issues.
  • Coordinate engineering review and timely resolution of production challenges.
  • Review drawings, models, specifications, purchase orders, and technical documentation for accuracy.
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, materials, dimensions, tolerances, and special customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve missing, conflicting, or unclear technical information.
  • Ensure current approved drawings, work instructions, routers, and specifications are available to production.
  • Support document control, configuration management, and protection of proprietary information.
  • Coordinate engineering changes, deviations, waivers, redlines, and revision implementation across departments.
  • Maintain traceability of engineering decisions, approvals, and revision history while removing obsolete documentation.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues, gather technical data, and assist in troubleshooting process, tooling, and quality concerns.
  • Support development and review of manufacturing plans, bills of materials, routers, work instructions, and production-readiness activities.
  • Assist with quality initiatives including first article inspections, nonconformance reviews, corrective actions, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recommending workflow enhancements, supporting cost and productivity initiatives, and tracking assigned actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and Operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, CAD viewers, and document-management software.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, fabrication, forming, assembly, and inspection.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, materials, tooling, and production documentation.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear instructions for production personnel.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing production needs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to document and revision accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, drafting, machining, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in engineering support, manufacturing engineering, production support, CNC machining, fabrication, quality, or a related technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout office and manufacturing areas.
  • Ability to use stairs and access production, inspection, tooling, and equipment areas.
  • Ability to read and review electronic and hard-copy technical documents.
  • Job requires occasional reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and carrying.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Pay

$75,000 to $105,000 per year

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
