6 North Med Surg Nurse - Faulkner

About the role

BWFH 6 North is a 36 private bed general medicine/telemetry, progressive care unit providing services to adults and older adults with complex medical and psychosocial conditions. Services include acute and chronic care diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Diabetes, Pneumonia, and others. The unit includes eight beds designated for addiction recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the direction of the nursing leadership team.
• Collaborate with medical providers, including mid-level practitioners (NP/PA).
• Utilize a complete array of monitoring systems and patient safety devices.
• Implement and adhere to I C.A.R.E. standards.
• Show evidence of basic analytic thinking and set priorities.
• Demonstrate observational skills and interpersonal communication.
• Function under stress and manage time effectively.

Requirements

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
• Med./surg./Tele. experience strongly preferred.
• Must show evidence of basic analytic thinking and set priorities.
• Ability to function under stress and communicate effectively.
• Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
• Med./surg./Tele. experience strongly preferred.
• Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards.
• Shows evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
• Demonstrates observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
• Able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

$41.36 - $100.00/Hourly Grade RN3500

Schedule

36 Hours (8-12 hr shifts), Evening/Night rotation. Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
