Responsibilities

Teach 6th grade full band and lessons at the Middle School.

Co-teach 5th grade full band and lessons at the Intermediate School.

If interested, Middle School Jazz Ensemble director responsibilities.

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.

Valid New York State teaching certificate in Music Education.

Experience teaching middle school instrumental music.

Ability to play multiple instruments and provide private lessons.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with co-teaching and ensemble leadership.

Knowledge of current educational practices and standards.

Passion for working with young musicians.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Passport required for international travel.

Background check required.
