Music Teacher - Band (Grades 5-8)

Responsibilities

• Teach music and band classes to students in grades Pre-K through 12
• Develop and implement music and band curricula aligned with state standards
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student learning
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends and techniques

Requirements

• Musical performance skills
• Experience teaching music and/or band
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Music Education or related field
• CT State Certification in Music Pre-K - 12 and Band
• Preferred: CT State Certification in Music Pre-K - 12 and Band

Pay

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience: 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047

Full-time position with a typical school year schedule.
