Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Hurco Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, excellent blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot 5-axis Hurco machining centers. This position is responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining tight tolerances, meeting production schedules, and following established quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC machining strongly preferred
  • Experience operating Hurco CNC machines preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform CNC machine setups independently
  • Ability to make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and basic program edits
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, workholding, and machining processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional problems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Hurco 5-axis CNC machining centers
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements
  • Load and verify CNC programs and make necessary program offsets and adjustments
  • Select, install, and measure cutting tools and workholding
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate tooling, offset, and process adjustments
  • Maintain tight dimensional tolerances and consistent part quality
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized
  • Identify tooling wear and replace tooling as needed
  • Work closely with engineering, programming, and quality personnel to resolve machining and quality issues
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
  • Complete required production and inspection documentation

Pay

$25.00 – 38.00 per hour
