4th Shift Material Handler - $22/hr

Shift Schedule & Wage

• Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Starting wage: $22.00/hr, with potential raises of up to $0.88 every 6 months

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, on foot or with forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using internal SPS system or CVP machines, focusing on excellent customer experience
• Bundle and verify orders for shipment, ensure order accuracy, and operate the bundler system
• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready for storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock or transport product to other areas
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and handheld scanning devices
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all safety protocols
• Meet expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; report hazards to leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary

Physical Requirements

• Work performed while standing and/or walking up to and including 12 hours/day
• Requires ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs

Experience & Education

1+ year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required. This role does not require a degree; we value relevant skills, experience, and alignment with our core values above all else.

Working Environment

While performing duties, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level is usually moderate.
