401k SpecialistFarmington, CT | $95,000 to $105,000 annually | Full time | Onsite About the OpportunityA growing financial planning firm is seeking a 401k Specialist to help business owners manage their retirement plans and help employees understand their options.This role offers direct collaboration with firm leadership, responsibility for existing client relationships, and a mix of retirement plan service, coordination, and group education.What You’ll Do• Support plan sponsors and participants with retirement plan questions and ongoing service.• Coordinate with advisors and third party administrators on plan setup, design, and administration.• Track employee eligibility, required notices, contribution deadlines, and client follow up.• Gather information needed for annual compliance testing and retirement plan filings.• Support plan reviews, fee benchmarking, and fiduciary oversight activities.• Lead virtual and in person enrollment meetings and present retirement plan services to prospective clients.What You’ll Bring• 3+ years of relevant retirement services experience, including hands on work with employer sponsored 401k plans.• Experience supporting plan sponsors and participants.• Experience presenting retirement information or financial offerings to groups.• Working knowledge of ERISA and relevant IRS and Department of Labor requirements.• Strong organization and the ability to explain complex information clearly.• Series 66 and willingness to obtain Series 7 if not already held.• Ability to work onsite five days per week and attend client presentations as needed.Preferred Qualifications• Experience with plan design, benchmarking, or investment fiduciary support.• QKA, QKC, or CPFA designation.Why Consider This Role• Work directly with firm leadership and advisors.• Build ongoing relationships with business owners and employees.• Apply your retirement expertise across client service, plan reviews, and education.
