Maintenance Lead Technician

Join a growing manufacturing team that values reliability, safety, and work life balance. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee preventative maintenance initiatives, troubleshoot critical equipment, and help drive operational excellence across our Batavia facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment and facilities.
• Schedule and perform preventative and corrective maintenance for equipment such as presses, conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Coordinate and record all maintenance/safety related inspections (e.g., smoke detectors, water treatment, temperatures).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues; ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Monitor work orders and assign tasks using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify maintenance priorities and reduce downtime.
• Maintain and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; assist in managing vendor relationships.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades as needed.
• Provide regular reporting and Root Cause Corrective Action on maintenance performance, downtime causes, and project status.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or a related field.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and automated control systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in hot, cold, noisy, or dusty environments.
• Occasionally climb ladders or work at heights.
